Erratum

“Adiponectin deficiency is associated with severe polymicrobial sepsis, high inflammatory cytokine levels, and high mortality,” by Yoshitaka Uji, Hiroshi Yamamoto, Hiroshi Tsuchihashi, Kazuhisa Maeda, Tohru Funahashi, Iichirou Shimomura, Tomoharu Shimizu, Yoshihiro Endo, and Tohru Tani, which appeared in Surgery, Vol. 145, No. 5:550–7, 2009 was published with an incorrect notation in the author affiliation text. The text should read as follows: “Y.U. and H.T. contributed equally to this manuscript.” Surgery and the authors apologize for this oversight.
