Acute suppurative appendicitis with perforation resulting from metastatic carcinoma

      Abstract

      • 1.
        1. A case of metastatic carcinoma to the appendix resulting in acute appendicitis is presented. This seems to be only the second case reported in the literature.
      • 2.
        2. Obstruction of the lumen of the appendix by tumor is suggested as the pathogenesis of the acute suppurative process.
