Abstract
- 1.1. There were 2 deaths in a group of 9 infants 3 months old or younger in whom a patent ductus arteriosus was closed.
- 2.2. The importance of early operation on those infants with congestive failure is emphasized.
- 3.3. Several infants in this group developed cardiovascular collapse at operation which responded to the prompt ligation of the open ductus.
