Salutations! I chose the field of endocrine surgery because of its fascinating complexity, long-term patient care and multidisciplinary nature. Today, our high-volume program manages thyroid molecular results every day, and I am grateful to have helped evolve the field for patients, thyroidologists, and health care costs. In this brief commentary, I will give examples of real-time thyroid molecular use and highlight opportunities for future study.
